Maple House
Maple House is a spacious 2-bedroom maisonette that sleeps 6 plus a baby/toddler, just 20-minutes’ drive south of Cape Town. It is the largest of three accommodations on this residential property (the others being Maple Cottage and Maple Studio).
Maple House cannot fail to impress, with its large rooms, tasteful décor and statement artworks. Each bedroom is enormous; one has a king-size bed, a chaise longue and 2 bunk beds and the other has a queen-size bed and a cot/child’s bed fit for royalty!
The large kitchen, with plenty of counter space, may be more functional than beautiful, but is perfect for cooking for the whole family. It is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer with ice and water dispenser, oven and ceramic hob and everything needed for a self-catering stay.
Maple House has a sunny patio, shaded by a pink bougainvillea, with outdoor seating and a view of the pool. The garden and swimming pool are shared amongst all guests and the pool is fenced for the safety of children. There is a shared utility room with a washing machine and outdoor clothes line and guests have garage parking with access to Maple House through the communal garden.
The gentle leafy suburb of Bergvliet – meaning ‘mountain streamlet’ – is close to the lower slopes of Table Mountain and the Constantia Winelands. It’s just 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of central Cape Town and the same distance to beaches and coastal villages. Maple House is a popular base for families wishing to experience Cape Town, where a large comfortable home and swimming pool beckons your return after a day’s sightseeing.
